Hi, I’m Nancy. I’ve always had a passion for art, from doodling tiny flowers as a kid to diving into the world of digital drawing with just a stylus and my phone at the age of 14. While my initial plan was to pursue science, circumstances changed with the onset of COVID, and I couldn’t attend the college I had in mind. Instead, I applied for graphic and web design and got accepted.
Little did I know, graphic and web design is more than just drawing; it’s about selecting the perfect color palette, patterns, and shapes to create compelling visuals. Being able to draw was just the tip of the iceberg. This field constantly challenges me, and I thrive on learning something new every day. My natural tendency to get distracted and lose interest quickly turned out to be an advantage, as each day in this profession is a fresh and exciting experience.
Along the way, I’ve explored various art styles and media, experimenting with different software and gadgets. I’ve come to love some tools and loathe others, but I’ve always found ways to work efficiently. Now, I’m proficient in various Adobe software like Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Lightroom, InDesign, and more. Beyond the classroom, I’ve taken on projects such as designing complete brand identities for restaurants and creating websites for clients. It’s a whole different ballgame outside of school, where I have to meet clients and create instructions from scratch.
Every day, I embrace new challenges and gain new experiences. Art isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a professional journey filled with endless possibilities.
